Roberta Virginia Boone, 79, of Parkersburg, died on Thursday, February 2, at Worthington Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born in Parkersburg on April 14, 1932, to the late Robert Brooks and Mildred Wigal Lieber.

Roberta graduated from PHS class of 1950. She was a member of the Latrobe St. Church of Christ. She retired from GC Murphy as a sales clerk. Roberta was a great cook; she enjoyed making big meals during family gatherings. She liked to travel, watch John Wayne movies, and most of all, she loved to spend time with her family.

She is survived by two sons; Douglas E. Boone of Parkersburg and Scott Boone of Ft. Myers, Fl, one daughter; Beth Carter and her husband Shaun of Parkersburg, eleven grandchildren; Chad Boone, Jeremy Boone, Robbie Boone, Joshua Boone, Ryan Boone, Abigail Boone, Sarah Boone, Benjamin Carter, Jacob Boone, Matthew Carter, and Meredith Carter, two great grandkids; Jessica and Emma Boone, one sister; Janice Dotson of Williamstown, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; George D. Boone, one son; Rodney Brooks Boone, two sisters; Katherine Seaman and Ruth Balsley, and one nephew; Steven Dotson.

The funeral service will be on Monday, February 6, at 3:00 PM at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Burial will follow the service at Hopewell Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 5, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
