My husband died last month, and everyone was great to work with. They were patient with my questions and responded quickly to emails and calls. They helped with the insurance forms and made sure I didn't have to worry about anything.

The folks at Leavitts are wonderful. They were so very kind and compassionate when it came to helping myself and my family make arrangements for my brother who passed so unexpectedly at a young age. From the moment we walked in the door, I knew he was in good hands. They didnt rush us to make any decisions, and helped us every step of the way. Their service doesn't just stop once the funeral/cremation is over, they check on you and have grief counseling to help you deal with the loss of your loved ones. I cannot express how thankful we were to have their guidance and kindness.

We recently buried my mother with the assistance of Leavitt’s Funeral Home. They arranged travel to bring my mom back to Parkersburg and showed so much kindness and dignity to our family in this time of sorrow. Our entire experience with Leavitt’s was wonderful. They were very respectful and compassionate throughout the entire process. The pre-planning took away all the stress of trying to make decisions at such an emotional time. I am so glad they offer this service and that my mother-in-law took advantage of it. After the recent passing of my Mom, I just had to express my gratitude to Leavitt’s. Mom had a pre-need funeral established and they kindly, efficiently helped us with everything. Everyone there was very helpful. Follow-ups were amazing. I recommend them for some of the toughest times of life when you say goodbye to a loved one.

The people with whom we’ve interacted have been so kind and compassionate during difficult times. They have kept us informed of the various processes as they were occurring and followed up to see how we were doing. Our most recent arrangements were handled quickly, and questions were answered to our understanding. We have been very pleased with all arrangements made through them.

During the most difficult time in my life, Leavitt was absolutely incredible! John went above and beyond to honor our daughter and make this heart shattering time as easy to get through as possible. They all kept us informed of every step. He did his best to comfort my mom heart and walked us through every step as gently as possible and during our private viewing he added wonderful touches that she would have loved and that we appreciate so much! We cannot thank them enough for their services and their compassion.

Jordan and the whole staff have been so caring and considerate during the process of laying my grandmother to rest. They were more than accommodating, very helpful in selections and decisions, and completely knowledgeable about everything that needed to be done and went above and beyond to take care of everything for us, so we didn't have to think about anything. My mother passed away a few weeks ago, she had made her funeral arrangements in advance with Leavitt funeral home, so when I called them to see what I needed to do, Brian led me through the process regarding the insurance policy my mother had been paying for her final arrangements. Brian was extremely helpful and knowledgeable which helped me immensely. Mom had requested cremation, so I met with Troy who walked me through the process and took time explaining everything I needed to know. I didn't realize all that was involved but Troy was a major help in getting everything done that I needed, even with the things I didn't know I was going to need. Overall, in a time of grief over losing my mother, the Leavitt funeral home staff made a VERY difficult time in my life so much better than I could ever imagine. They were sympathetic, friendly, and thoroughly helpful, and they always kept me informed of when to expect everything from be completed. Nothing but high praises for Leavitt Funeral home staff.

As you know, no one likes to be at a funeral home for any reason. Losing our mom was extremely hard. Leavitt Funeral Home made that experience a little easier. The entire staff was wonderful, but I must spotlight one person. Our family met with Sean Plant on the day after Mom’s passing. Sean went over and beyond what we expected. Sean was empathetic, sympathetic, caring, and courteous. It was a difficult decision, but Mom didn’t want any kind of fanfare, so we followed her wishes. Our family opted not to go to the cemetery for a memorial. Sean stated to me that he would accompany my mom on her journey to her resting place, from Leavitt Funeral Home to the burial site. He promised me that mom wouldn’t be alone, and he’d be by her side til the end. To me and my sisters that meant the world to us. Sean made the situation a little more bearable. The staff has reached out to us often to make sure we are okay. Other services were offered to assist us through the mourning process. Sometimes speaking to someone other than family can be healing. Leavitt Funeral Home goes over and beyond what is expected. The staff is great, and Sean Plant is exemplary. Thank you. Kathi (Schuler) Rake

There are so many decisions to make when making arrangements & Troy was unbelievably helpful & very patient. Having to plan a funeral while grieving for a loved one is a most difficult task . The staff at Leavitt Funeral Home did an awesome job. Their help, compassion, and attention to detail truly honored our mom. Troy Christman, the funeral director, was very accommodating and professional in handling the funeral . He checked with the family throughout the process to make sure all was going smoothly or to check of our needs. Follow up emails and phone calls, even a couple weeks after, to check on our family and how we were doing, as well as, offering grief counseling were appreciated. The staff at Leavitt’s know how to minister to the family in their grief. Our family would highly recommend Leavitt Funeral Home!

My husband passed away February 5,2023. We did not have burial arrangement but I knew I wanted Leavitt's to take care of Mike. They had taken care if both my parents who had preplanned and were extremely pleased with the care we received for them. With Mike's planning we were professionally walked through the process of the arrangements with compassionate care. All of our wishes were met with understanding attention. My husband looked wonderful as if he were resting peacefully. On the morning of the service I stopped in the office early to get Mikes wedding band. While waiting a group of the staff, probably 5 or 6 gentlemen came to the office to offer condolence. Most if them had remembered my Dad from visiting the funeral home in the past and expressed their good memories of him. That really touched my heart. Leavitt's offers exemplary service. I can not give enough praise for the service we received.
