She was born May 29, 1979, in Stoughton, Mass., a daughter of the late 'Bo' Bearse and Robin Bearse Silva of Vincent, Ohio. Erin worked for the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources in Child Protective Services. She was an active member of the Lynn Street Church of Christ where she was a Sunday school teacher. Erin was a loving wife and mother and cared for all she came in contact with. She will be missed by all, especially her family, church family and her co-workers.
Surviving in addition to her mother, is her husband of 11 years, Eric Greathouse; her step-father, Mark Silva of Vincent; three children, Kierra, Emily and Malachi of the home; two sisters, Erica Bearse of Williamstown, and Alison Bearse of Parkersburg; two step-brothers, Ryan Silva of North Attleboro, Mass., and Eric Silva of Framingham, Mass.; and paternal grandmother, Helen Hathaway of Taunton, Mass. She also leaves behind seven nieces, Kerrie, Mariah, Hayleigh, Destanie, Lauren, Karly and Molly; three aunts, Harriett Ogle of Vienna, Suzanne Babcock of Coventry, R.I., and Holly Hamilton of Raynham, Mass.; mother-in-law, Phyllis Greathouse of Parkersburg; and brother-in-law, Mark Greathouse of Lower Salem, Ohio. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Robert Greathouse; and maternal grandmother, Jean Luftman.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Lynn Street Church of Christ with Evangelist Teddy Tackett officiating. Interment will follow at the Parkersburg Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, and one hour prior to services at the church.
